Atheists In Kenya have managed to make national headlines again, thanks to their absurd demand.
The group now wants the Ministry of Education to stop teaching religious subjects in primary and secondary schools.
According to the group led by Harrison Mumia, religious studies discriminate against people who do not profess any religion.
In a press statement signed by Mumia and released to local media houses, the group said it was totally wrong to teach Christian ,Islamic and Hindu religious education in schools, leaving out students and pupils who study Atheism.
Their new demand comes barely a fortnight after ‘requesting’ the Interior CS Joseph Nkaiserry to gazette February 17 as a holiday to celebrate Atheists.
