Chaos reigned in Eastleigh on Wednesday as traders engaged in running battles with hawkers.

The traders have had a long running dispute with the hawkers, whom they accuse of setting up sheds by the roadsides and blocking entrances to their premises.

Mall owners and traders shut down their premises on Wednesday as street battles ensued.
