Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s daughter, Rosemary Odinga has been flown to South Africa for further check up after 11 days of hospitalization at a Nairobi hospital.

Ms Odinga who has been diagnosed with a non-cancerous tumor, arrived in South Africa Tuesday morning, accompanied by family doctor
Oluoch Olunya, her mother, Idah Odinga, and younger sister, Winnie Odinga.

According to a source who sought anonymity, Rosemary’s condition has improved and she was flown to South Africa for further check up, just to ascertain her well-being.

Rosemary, Raila Odinga’s second born, was admitted at the Aga Khan University Hospital on Friday with a headache, and moved to Nairobi Hospital a day later.

She had been in the Nairobi Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before she was moved back to Aga Khan last Monday.
