The chairman of the electoral commission Wafula Chebukati is expected to address the nation on his preparedness for Thursday’s presidential election.
Supreme Court failed to proceed with the hearing of the petition seeking to stop the elections due to lack of quorum, giving a green light to the commission to proceed with the election.

Earlier Wednesday High Court judge George Odunga had ruled that the appointment of constituency returning officer and their deputies illegal.
Judge Odunga found that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission did not follow the law while appointing the poll officials.
However, the judge declined to quash the gazette notice on the appointment of the election managers.
