Raila: I’ll be sworn in on Jamhuri Day

Nasa leader on Tuesday dropped a bombshell telling his supporters that he will be sworn in by the people on Jamhuri Day.

Mr Odinga told a crowd at Jacaranda grounds that he will be sworn in using the first chapter of the constitution on peoples sovereignty.

“It will be on December 12 and every detail of the process will be communicated,” he said.

Mr Odinga spoke minutes after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were sworn in at Kasarani Stadium.

Mr Odinga’s address was cut short when police lobbed teargas scuttling the meeting.
