The relationship between the two has been the subject of speculation online, with claims that they are no longer seeing eye to eye on most things.

“Political distractions aside, we have a brotherhood that goes beyond the ongoing rumors,” he wrote on Thursday.

Igathe shared photos of him and Sonko enjoying light moments over some drinks.

He captioned the photos; “Sonko’s humour is for the Oscars. I couldn’t have asked for a better Boss. #WorkHardPlayHard.”

DISCUSS PARTNERSHIPS

They also hosted representatives from Somati vehicles NV Belgium to discuss provision of firefighting equipment to schools in the county.

Governor Sonko shared photos of the joint meeting and issued statement reassuring Nairobians that he is working closely with his deputy.
