Police shoot dead seven suspects in foiled robbery – PHOTOS

Police on Wednesday afternoon shot dead seven suspected thugs during a foiled robbery at Kibunja trading centre in Molo along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

Molo Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Daniel Kamanza said three of their accomplices escaped with gunshot wounds.

Mr Kamanza said his officers were alerted by members of the public about two suspicious vehicles before they ambushed them.

The criminals were using two vehicles – a Toyota fielder and a Prado- in the 1pm attempted robbery along the busy highway.

“They were trailing a truck that was carrying sugar from Nairobi heading to Eldoret. Members of the public suspected the vehicles and alerted the police who moved in swiftly and gunned them down,” said Mr Kamanza.
