Head of Customer service & logistics required for this leading global producer of Calcium Carbonate. They are a worldwide distributor of Speciality Chemicals & fertilizers and are looking for an experienced Manager to be in charge of planning, logistics and customs clearance. Experience in running CS&L activities together with logistics, warehouse and customs broker sourcing and suppliers’ selection process required. The successful candidate will be based in Nairobi, MUST have at least 3 years’ management experience in a similar industry with an International company and be willing to travel within East Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- To secure cost-effective and reliable logistics delivery of finished goods from plants to
- Customers including planning, transportation, warehouse, THC, stock management, vessel orders coordination, regular stock analysis, customs clearance.
- To support and participate in company business projects and saving initiatives.
- Contract management (prepare, validate and sign contracts).
- ERP implementation, improvement and follow up.
- To organize customs clearance procedure to get reliable scheme of all customs clearances avoiding demurrages.
- To meet QSHE requirements according to ISO standards and company policy in CS and Logistics.
- To secure on time and professional Customer complaints management.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Logistics or Economics.
- At least 4 years’ management experience Customer Services & Logistics.
- Relevant working experience with Multi-national companies.
- Strong planning and communication skills.
- Financial awareness and strategic market view.
