The school has proven excellence, particularly on the academic and leadership front, with a British Curriculum – IGCSE system set-up for children between 6 – 13 years. The ideal candidate must be passionate about toddlers & young children, willing to work in a non-traditional environment that enable children to take responsibility for their own learning through deciding and voting for themes that become their curriculum. He/she MUST naturally love kids and be willing and able to support them 100%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create lesson plans for each class based on your experience and the pupils’ specific needs.
- Keeping up to date with developments in the subject.
- Introduce interactive activities into the classroom and encourage students to vocalize their concerns.
- Communicate with other team members as well as with parents about students’ progress and behaviour.
- Encourage creativity in students by organizing art and craft projects.
- Create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere in the classroom.
- Listen carefully to parents’ requests and concerns and address them as quickly as possible.
- Help the children learn about the chosen topics in a playful and colourful way.
- To be responsible for all duties as required of an academic educator.
- Commitment to subject-related activities.
- Lead a classroom first by example of conduct and then by instructing learners through teaching excellently.
- Incorporating the school’s values into daily teaching.
- Total commitment to extra-mural activities of the school.
Qualifications:
- Must have a recognised Degree and/or a 4-year professional Teaching Qualification.
- Must have at least 4 years’ teaching experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, students and parents.
- Energetic, self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
- Enthusiastic, assertive and flexible.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- An open and creative outlook to education.
- Must be a team player.
- Computer literacy is imperative.
