Our client dealing in the automotive industry is seeking to recruit Workshop Receptionist. He/she will Schedule maintenance & repair appointments, ensuring that booking in and out procedures are in place and that all documentation requirements are followed. The ideal candidate must have experience as a receptionist in a workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the scheduled maintenance planning board, ensuring that vehicles & ancillary equipment are maintained to the appropriate frequencies.
  • Apply the scheduled maintenance booking process, circulating appointments to clients so that they are aware of what vehicles are due and when they are required.
  • Produce vehicle inspection sheets, completing the header boxes as required.
  • Handle client enquiries regarding the progress of maintenance & repairs.
  • Maintain the workshop diary & out of service log.
  • Monitor & measure progress on work performed by sub-contractors.
  • Identify warranty claims, where appropriate, and ensure they are maximized and progressed commercially.
  • Progress driver defect deports, highlighting the requirements to the workshop supervisor or charge-hand.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completion of all statutory maintenance documentation completed by mechanics.
  • Operate computer terminals, including direct input into computerized stores system & timesheets into costing system.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience working in workshop.
  • Must be organised and efficient.
  • Ability to multi-task, demonstrate initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Must be open-minded and flexible.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
