Our client, a hotel group with properties in Kenya is looking for a qualified Restaurant Manager to be based in Nairobi. The successful candidate will manage restaurant operations to ensure quality service and guest satisfaction by ensuring efficient running and management of staff. The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership to restaurant staff and ensuring restaurant profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing standard operating procedures
• Organizing marketing activities in liaison with the marketing department
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health &safety legislation/guidelines
• Monitoring and control the usage of equipment and supplies
• Gathering feedback and comments/complaints from guests and communicate to concerned parties
• Planning, organizing, allocating and co-ordinating the work of the team
• Assist in recruitment of staff
• Preparing daily sales, functions and food cost reports

Qualification:
Degree with 3 years’ experience or Diploma with 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage service or equivalent.
• Excellent product knowledge in food and beverage service
• Professional qualification on training in safety, hygiene and quality standards
• Experience with Hotel Management Systems (Micros, MC , POS)
• Strong people management and discipline skills
• Strong customer service and public relations skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
