Accountant & Operational Administrator

Our client, authorized dealers of a Multinational Company manufacturing Heavy Machinery equipment’s for Construction, Agriculture, Waste handling, Generators and Demolition are seeking to recruit an Accountant & Operational Administrator to be based in Kigali Rwanda. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects within the business comprising for accounting, operational administration and management. Answerable to the GM, the accountant will able be involved in reporting, imports, supply chain management and tenders. The ideal candidate Must have prior experience in the Construction Sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Document financial transactions into accounting software (Tally)
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and tax returns
• Prepare monthly balance sheet, P&L and other reports, administer payroll, book expenses
• Perform monthly bank accounts reconciliations and weekly petty cash checks
• Provide support to auditors
• Make orders and make payments to suppliers
• Work with the group head office in Nairobi and submit monthly accounts to them
• Monitor company compliance (including tax, legal, insurance, company equipment and company vehicles)
• Monitor and collect receivables from clients
• Monitor and update inventory
• Monitor daily cash transactions

Qualifications:
• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be a CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist
• Must have prior experience in working in the Construction industry
• Excellent English (both written and oral) and a working proficiency in French and Swahili
• Proficiency in IT – Tally, QuickBooks (or similar), good touch-typing speed, high levels of proficiency in Advance Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Analytical and numerical ability
• Diligent, organized and proactive, with excellent attention to detail
• Personable and with good people skills
