Our client, a professional services business that delivers projects, provides expertise in engineering, procurement and construction, is looking for a Logistic Supervisor with experience in the oil sector, for its offices in Nairobi. The successful candidate will coordinate with the refinery and GOK agencies involved in storage and shipment of crude oil. Knowledge and experience in the Petroleum product transportation is a MUST !
Key Responsibilities:
• Management of the operation of multiple transportation contractors responsible for the transportation of Crude Oil
• Key interface for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordination and presentation of reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Management of assurance contractors to assure volume and quality
• Contract Management of logistics, assurance, testing and storage contracts
• Coordinate loading, transportation, storage and ship loading activities
• Manage Budget including forecasting and securing timely budget amendment approvals
• Manage schedule to ensure sufficient volumes are stored in the refinery to meet shipping schedule.
• Maintain records of EOPS produced, transported and shipped crude oil volumes
• Issue midstream Bi-weekly and monthly cost reports
• Conduct and coordinate regular EHS and Quality Assurance audits on midstream activities and contractors
• Prepare all required documentation relating to midstream activities as required by GOK in conjunction with Commercial and Marketing teams
• Lead Supplier Performance Meetings with each service provider including leading KPI and performance management activities
Qualifications/skills:
• Degree in either logistics or supply chain management
• At least 10 years experience in logistics, 5 years at a supervisory level
• Experience of both land transport and marine logistics
• Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety Management
• Knowledge of petroleum products transportation
• Good supervisory/management skills
• Schedule, cost management and good reporting skills
• Good contract management skills, demonstrating ability to manage multiple contractors
