Chief Operating Officer

Our Client, a leading agricultural service Company with a Sub-Saharan reach based near Nairobi, is looking to recruit a Chief Operations Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving company’s growth agenda, by delivering ever-increasing performance excellence in their staff and business processes, to enable successful scale-up of their diagnostics, advisory and digital technology platform across SSA. The ideal candidate must have experience successfully scaling a service or technology business in Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement ambitious business growth strategies.
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
• Build a vibrant company culture.
• Implement process improvement strategies across operational departments.
• Implementing OKR performance management system.
• Submit BI performance reports to the CEO.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or relevant role.
• Successfully scaled a service or technology business in Africa.
• Strong background in logistics planning.
• Deep understanding of varied business functions.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
• Outstanding team motivations skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
• Strong background in Business Administration, MBA is a plus.
