Our client based in Kuwait is looking for skilled Chefs and Cooks to prepare delicious meals at their restaurant. The desired candidate must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience using various ingredients and cooking techniques especially with meats is important. It is a legal requirement by Kuwait that all workers Must undergo medical examination I.e. HIV, syphilis, TB, Hepatitis and Yellow fever. Must have a travel passport and valid good conduct certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Check the quality of the ingredients.
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
- Regular maintenance and cleaning of grills and other kitchen areas.
- Performs preparatory work such as cutting meat, skewering meat, mixing sauces, and making vegetable garnishes.
- Grill and garnish hamburgers or other meats, such as steaks and chops.
- Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Cooking food in various utensils or grillers.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Diploma from a culinary school.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a chef preferably dealing with meats.
- Must have a travel passport and a certificate good conduct.
- Must possess good command of written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
- Must possess the ability to stay calm and collected under pressure.
- Must possess good inventory management skills.
- Must have worked in a multicultural environment.
- Must be able to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
