Aberdare National Park is on fire. Nyeri ecosystem conservator Muchiri Mathinji has confirmed that the fire started around 10am in the moorlands area of the Aberdare ranges.
Mr Mathinji said that KFS officers have been mobilized and are already proceeding to the area to contain the fire.
“We cannot estimate the damage as of now but we are looking for an aircraft to assess the situation,” he said.
