Media personality and ex-Kiss FM presenter Kalekye Mumo has landed a new job as television presenter at K24 TV.

eDaily has learnt Kalekye Mumo will be replacing Eric Njoka on Talk Central. Her first show is slated for Thursday, January 19. Eric Njoka already said goodbye to viewers of the show in a farewell post.

He wrote: “Goodbye #TalkCentral @k24tv. Almost 80 episodes under my tag and proud to have been part of the team led the loyal and super producer Diana Muiru. I don’t even know where to start with the big THANK YOUs to the amazing guests that I had a privilege to host on the show, and of course to the FANS of the show. Watch out for the new look and face on the show, she is going to be exquisite.”

Kalekye Mumo took to her Instagram to write: “God has surely blessed me!! I’m back on your screens this week… lit.”

Kalekye Mumo quit Kiss FM mid 2016 to grow her public relations company.

Kalekye Mumo started off as Rush Hour show co-host alongside Shaffie Weru at Kiss 100 nearly 11 years ago. She and Shaffie were in September 2014 moved to the Big Breakfast show that airs on weekdays from 6am to 10am.

The breakfast show was formerly hosted by Caroline Mutoko who is now Radio Africa’s Chief marketing officer.

“It has been a fantastic 10-year journey on radio,” Kalekye Mumo told eDaily.

“Talking to different people, being part of their lives and even more the experience selling brands on air has taught me so much.”

Kalekye Mumo was looking for a new challenge after she reached the peak of her radio job.

Kalekye’s PR firm mid last year signed a multi-million shilling contract with Kericho Gold, one of the biggest makers of tea in Kenya.

“And now after beginning the year with big milestones – I turned 40, lost 40kgs and decided to keep it big by opening a Public Relations company, I feel it is time to give more of my talent and experience to brands and clients directly and the first such brand to believe in me is Kericho Gold,” she said.
