Theuri’s controversial swimming pool project well on course – PHOTOS

The construction of a swimming pool at Umoja One Primary School in Embakasi West Constituency is expected to be complete by March this year.

The swimming pool is intended to be used to host inter-school swimming competitions at the school and also as a recreational establishment for residents.

However, since inception the project has drawn criticism from area residents, who are instead concerned about water shortage that is common in the area.

Area MP George Theuri has however defended the project saying that residents have nothing to worry about, even during the ongoing water rationing since the swimming pool will draw its water from a borehole.
