Do not judge me. Those are the words Ms Jackline Mwende, the woman who burst into the limelight last year after she claimed that her husband chopped off her hands because she could not bear him a child.
In an exclusive interview with the Nation, she confessed that she conceived about three days before the alleged attack by her husband, and that she has no regrets for it because she “opted for this route” out of her deep-rooted desire to bear a child.
Ms Mwende added that the attack might have had something to do with the fact that, a day earlier, she had been seen in public with the man she was having an affair with.
Her admission of a love triangle, however, seems to have divided Kenyans on social media. While she has her sympathisers, others were not so forgiving, claiming that she cried wolf after being caught cheating.
