Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has children with a number of women, some whom he has formally recognized and are being taken care of by current spouse Rachel.
Unknown to many, Ruto’s eldest daughter June is not Rachel’s daughter. Her mother is said to have passed on.
Through court filings doing rounds online, Prisca Chemutai Bett (pictured above) is accusing the Deputy President of child neglect in a case before Milimani Children’s court.
The claim of Ruto having neglected a child was first made public by activist Boniface Mwangi as he sought to prove the Deputy President has no reputation worth damaging.
Interestingly, Mwangi’s lawyer, veteran advocate Gitobu Imanyara, is the one representing Prisca and the minor (whose name we have with-held as a policy).
Most of the DP’s children have uncanny resemblence with him and each other, which makes it even more dramatic should this case become a public sensation,
