Our client is a well established accounting and audit firm offering financial advice and consultancy services. They seek to hire an experienced Semi Senior Auditor.

Salary: 35-40k
Location: Nairobi

Semi Senior Auditor Job Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in Audit planning, field work, prepare reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to line and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements
• Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
• Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
• Client audit engagements, which include planning, executing, directing, and completing financial audits
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
• Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
• Performing risk assessments on key business activities and using this information to guide what to cover in audits
• Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
• Supervising, training, and mentoring staff and interns on audit process and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews; performing in-charge role
• Assessing how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management whether any issues need addressing
• Running of financial statement preparation, internal staffing of engagements, project scheduling and budgeting, planning of the clients engagement and related administrative functions

Qualifications for the Semi Senior Auditor Job

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
• CPA-K/ ACCA
• Minimum 2 years work experience as an auditor in an Audit Firm
• Presentation skills
• Good Report writing skills
• Leadership – ability to interact with Senior client management
• People Management/ Supervisory Skills
