The ruling Jubilee Party has taken to the use of old video clips to discredit the opposition coalition Nasa ahead of the August general elections.
Through State House Senior Director of Digital Communication Dennis Itumbi, the party has dug up archive videos showing Nasa leaders Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula disparaging each other before they forged the alliance.
One of the videos that has been posted on Itumbi’s official Facebook page shows Raila accusing Mudavadi of masterminding the Goldenberg scandal in which billions of shillings was siphoned from the government coffers.

In another video Kalonzo, is seen disparaging Raila by saying; “You cannot be a reformist if you are involved in the Triton saga for example.”
Other clips posted on the same platform also feature Boniface Khalwale dismissing Nasa, Mudavadi and Raila having a go at each other and Mudavadi dismissing Kalonzo as a “self seeker and traitor”.
Nasa is yet to formally respond to Jubilee Party’s strategy.
