Pastor Pius Muiru’s mother dead after suspected kidnap

Mother of prominent city preacher Pius Muiru, who went missing at the weekend, may have been kidnapped and subsequently killed.

Police have arrested two people suspected of killing and burying of Grace Wangari Mwangi.

Central Regional police boss Larry Kieng’ confirmed on Thursday that the suspects are being held at Kigumo police station, Murang’a County and will help locate where the body was buried.

Police suspect the body was buried in Karika village, Murang’a county.

The two suspects have reportedly volunteered to take police to the area where they claim she is buried.

Exhumation may start once experts arrive, Mr Kieng’ has confirmed.
