Opposition leader, Raila Odinga, was on Wednesday, March 8, morning taken ill and rushed to the Karen Hospital for treatment. Odinga, who was diagnosed with food poisoning, was treated and discharged.
The NASA co-principal is currently recuperating at his Karen residence, his spokesperson Dennis Onyango says.
“Raila Odinga was taken ill Wednesday morning. He was rushed to Karen Hospital, where he was diagnosed with food poisoning. He was treated and discharged. Mr Odinga was to close the Devolution Conference in Naivasha on Thursday, March 8, but he won’t attend. Instead, NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula will represent him,” Dennis Onyango told Citizen Digital on phone.
“Mr Odinga will leave for South Africa tomorrow (Thursday, March 9) at midday to visit his ailing daughter, Rosemary Odinga,” added Mr Onyango.
