Former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru has won Kirinyaga County Jubilee governor ticket.
Final results show Ms Waiguru garnered 100,632 votes, followed by Gitari Gachoki who had 46,678 votes.
Incumbent governor Joseph Ndathi came a distant third with 17,085 votes ahead of Eliud Wanjao who managed 5,765 votes.
Ms Waiguru will, however, have to surmount a formidable challenge from Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua during the August 8 general election.
