City mum gang-raped, killed on way to work – VIDEO

Police in Mlolongo are investigating the death of a woman who was gang-raped and killed on her way to her business premise.

Esther Mwongeli, a 30 year-old mother of two, left her house at around 5am and was headed to her business of cooking mandazi when she was attacked by a gang who reportedly raped her in turns by the roadside.

The gang also stole her personal effects before hitting her on the head with a blunt object.

Residents have decried rising rates of crime in the area, which they blame on a gang of teenagee.

Athi River OCPD Sharma Wario has promised intensified police patrols.
