Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh has broken her silence on the swirling talk on her political future.
Ms Shebesh on Thursday sought to clear the air on reports that hse had been prevailed on by Jubilee Party officials to not seek re-election. According to the reports, she was instead assured of being nominated to the Senate.
She however told a meeting of Nairobi women leaders on Thursday that she will seek to retain her seat on a Jubilee ticket, and expressed confidence of winning.
At the meeting held at the Kasarani gymnasium, Ms Shebesh outlined her agenda for the next five years if re-elected.
Other candidates eying the Nairobi women Representative seat are Nairobi businesswoman Esther Passaris, Millicent Omanga, lawyer Karen Nyamu, Beatrice Kwamboka among others.
