Safaricom has announced that its services will be available in phases until the outage is fully resolved.
The service provider in the latest update sent to newsrooms said it had identified the cause of the outage and was working to resolve it.
“We have identified the root cause of the outage and are working to resolve this in the shortest time possible. In the meantime, Voice, Data, SMS, M-PESA and Enterprise services will be available intermittently until the issue is fully resolved,” read a statement from the company.

Services were unavailable on Monday staring from 9:30am and hours later voice calls were on and off as well as data and M-pesa services.

“We will continue to update customers on the progress to restore services. We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” stated Safaricom.
On social media, enquiries on services that had been restored were met with advice from the company staff telling subscribers to restart their phones in order to access services that had resumed.
