How to check Your M-Pesa Balance.

On Your Mobile Hand set go to M-Pesa and click on My Account.
A new window will open with several other services, you will see

Check balance
Change PIN
Change Language
Update Customer Menu.

Go straight to Check Balance. You will be prompted to put Your Password.
Enter your password and press ok to confirm.
You will receive your balance amount shortly.
Once you confirm your balance and see that it's enough, now you can now follow the steps below to send money using Mpesa services.

Sending Money Using M-Pesa services.

On your M-Pesa account, select send money and press ok.
You can either search SIM contacts or enter the phone number if you have memorized it in your head.
If you want to search, enter the name that you have saved the contact on your SIM and press search.
Note: Only contacts saved in your SIM card will come. If you have saved someone on your phone, then you have to get his or her number manually.
Enter the amount that you want to send. At this time, you must be knowing the M-Pesa charges for each amount you send.
Enter Your M-Pesa PIN and confirm the contact and the amount you want to send and press OK.
You will receive a message having the name and the amount you want to send.
If the name is not the one for the person you intend to send money to, send any letter to stop the transaction.
