Buyer – Commercial

Our client, a well-established Telecommunication Company providing affordable entertainment and connectivity services is looking to recruit a Buyer-Commercial. The successful candidate will ensure timely and cost efficient purchase of right quality and quantity of materials and services from right vendors. He/she must have experience in procurement of goods/services preferably in the service industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing & payment options.
• Convert purchase requisition into the purchase order.
• Identify and consolidate marketing, sales & programming purchasing.
• Conduct routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance & compliance.
• Carefully monitor deliveries, any past due shipments and usage to determine re-order levels and quantities.
• Coordinate with Legal department to ensure all purchases are accompanied by a signed contract.
• Prepare periodic reports related to procurement & supplier appraisal.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement of goods/services in the service industry.
• Must have proven knowledge of procurement & record keeping procedures applicable to purchasing.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners & vendors.
• Must be a member of a professional organization body.
