Our client, global leaders in Agricultural distribution, supply and forecasting are seeking to recruit a Human Resource Manager to be based in Mombasa and who will be accountable for the HR functions for operations in Kenya. The successful candidate Must be ready to get their hands dirty, have experience handling Unions and have International Exposure.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with business and support for business growth providing HR solutions with tactical action plans having oversight of all locations
• Collaborate with Europe HR function leads to support talent management, development, and retention, working closely with local management
• Coach local HR team with a view of developing and raising the bar on performance.
• Deliver HR policies and practices that are compliant with Companies guidelines, country labor, and Manpower Regulations
• Ensure we provide industry related – market competitive compensation and benefit programs, through external benchmarking
• Manage industrial /labour relations, assisting with union negotiations and compliance & relationship essential
• Lead employee engagement & change initiatives

Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources, Social Sciences, Arts or Business
Must have over 10 years’ experience with 5 years being in Senior Management.
Must have a current practicing certificate with IHRM
Must have experience in active participation in trade union & bargaining council negotiations
Must have International exposure.
Must experience in a difficult blue collar labour intensive environments
Must be a Change agent
• Payroll experience desired to manage the process
