Questions KOT are asking Boniface Mwangi about Pawa254 workshop

Kenyans online have bashed human rights activist Boniface Mwangi for organizing a workshop for female photographers dominated by an all-male panel.

The workshop was organised by PAWA254 an establishment for creatives to network founded by Mr Mwangi.

Netizens questioned why the panelists were all male when there are many good female photographers in Nairobi.

Mwangi responded by explaining that he did not have enough time to get the female photographers, as the chosen panelists were only notified the very day.

Thanks for the feedback. Because of time we couldn’t get an all female panel.I was away in Mogadishu last week. Next time all Sheroes panel.

However, the online community would here none of Mwangis’s explanation, labelling them as excuses. They advised him to have not organized the event in haste but given more time for preparations.

Perhaps the workshop deserved a little more preparation, by facilitators too. Wondering if fair to rush things for a much awaited workshop?
