Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris was on Wednesday harassed in Milimani Law Courts by supporters of Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino.
The rowdy youth called Ms Passaris as a ‘traitor ‘ after she censured Babu Owino in a Facebook post for his vile remarks at a rally in Kawangware on Sunday.
Ms Passaris was in court to hear a ruling on whether Babu Owino will be released on bail.
She had to shielded by her bodyguards as the group hurled insults at her.
The youth wanted her to apologise and pull down the post on Facebook.
In court, lights temporarily went off and the group told her to bring back the lights – referring to her slogan of Mama Taa mtaani – as condition to be allowed to stay.
It took the intervention of lawyer and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo to calm down the youth in court.
