The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has responded to queries from curious Kenyans on the fate of the repeat presidential election after the withdrawal of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The electoral commission, in a tweet posted Tuesday evening, said its commissioners had retreated into a closed door meeting with its legal team to ponder on the consequences of Mr Odinga’s withdrawal.
The commission will thereafter communicate the way forward.
Following the withdrawal of the NASA presidential candidate, the Commission and the legal team are meeting and will communicate way forward.
