Our client, a dynamic company dedicated to providing Group Accounting solutions from Sweden is looking to recruit an IT intern for their Nairobi office. The ideal candidate must have previous technical support experience of +1 year in a busy Microsoft environment for Windows OS, MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, Antivirus and Peripherals (installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responds to customer technical problems/issues related to hardware, software.
  • Networking via email/chat, online, social media and phone.
  • Assists customers by diagnosing problems and providing resolutions for technical service.
  • Eases troubleshooting techniques and tools to identify products that are defective.
  • Advises customers within procedural guidelines to ensure a complete solution to their questions.
  • Identifies, researches and provides input on unique or recurring customer problems.
  • Remains knowledgeable of Client’s product line and technologies.
  • Monitors and track issues to ensure accurate resolution.
  • Escalates more complex customer technical issues to senior level support.
  • Identify, research and provide input on unique or recurring customer problems.
  • Installation and set-up of ICT resources.
  • Configuration of switches, routers, and VPN.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and multiple team members with confidence.
  • Knowledge in Virtualization technologies (Xen Server, VMWare, Hypervisor).
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Previous technical support experience of + 1 year in a busy Microsoft environment.
  • Antivirus and Peripherals (installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage).
  • Shift availability 24/7.
  • Customer Service experience of + 1 year is an added advantage.
