Kenyans have been left confused after the High Court ruled that Ekuru Aukot should be on the ballot in the repeat presidential election.

Justice John Mativo on Wednesday found that nothing bar Dr Aukot from contesting the fresh election.

Mr Aukot, polled less than 1 percent in the first presidential elections on August 08.

His ruling means President Uhuru Kenyatta may still have a challenger on October 26, when the repeat election is scheduled, despite the withdrawal of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Kenyans online couldn’t make head from tail on the ruling. Others thought it was a good idea for Dr Aukot to run and are ready to back him.
