The US embassy in Kenya has refuted claims that ambassador Robert Godec has been recalled to Washington.

A screenshot on the story headlined “Robert Godec, US ambassador to Kenya recalled to Washington” has been shared widely on social media.

But on Wednesday, the US embassy in Nairobi dismissed it as “complete fabrication” and “fake news”.
