Nasa leader Raila Odinga has disowned an advert purportedly calling on opposition supporters to boycott Safaricom.

Mr Odinga said the opposition had not placed the advert in any of the publications.

He branded it “fake”.

The said advert is work of PhotoShop as it is super imposed on an a genuine announcement.

Safaricom is one of the mobile companies whose network will be used in the transmission of results during the repeat presidential election on October 26.

Kenya has been hit by a wave of fake news ahead of the repeat presidential election as each side seeks to tilt the scale in its favour through propaganda.
