President Uhuru Kenyatta’s congratulatory message to Gor Mahia for their Kenya Premier League win didn’t go down well with some Kenyans online.
Kenyans on Twitter unleashed their wrath on the president implying that he should not have congratulated the newly crowned SportPesa Premier League champions.
Congratulations @OfficialGMFC on winning the 2017 (and a record 16th) @TheOfficialKPL title with four games left to play in the season.

Gor Mahia on Saturday came all guns blazing from the opening minute to crowned champions of Kenya for an unprecedented 16th time with four matches to spare.
As the President hailed the team for the performance, some Kenyans online were unhappy with the head of state.
Congratulations to them, they win without rigging or bribing referees or still intimidating match officials.
