Our client, fast growing manufacturing company that offers quality, sustainable furniture’s is looking for a Brand Manager to be based in Mlolongo. The ideal candidate will be responsible to develop marketing activities to support the brand building and development. They will also have the ability to translate customers’ point of view, their current taste and their future dreams into product ideas and designs, with an initial focus on developing the company’s sofa line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of new product lines: – ideation, prototyping, testing & market introduction.
- Research/analyse customers’ world & come up with key insights for brand development /new product ideas.
- Coordinate product brief requirements and timelines. Ensure deliverables are met.
- Work with designers to define company’s product aesthetic.
- Oversee the prototyping of new products in collaboration with the production team.
- Ensure customer insights are aligned with manufacturing constraints & guide the product development.
- Develop a marketing plan (activities & budget) & ensure that KPIs are achieved on time & budget.
- Ideate, test, develop & coordinate implementation of marketing activities supporting Coy’s brand/products.
- Strongly represent Company’s brand identity both in internal discussions and externally.
- Ensure that design and research pipeline fit into the company’s business plan and strategic vision.
- Oversee the design team budget including project costs, materials and outsourced service providers.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in marketing, advertising, brand management.
- Have led the brand development of a consumer goods or furniture related company.
- You are incredibly creative and insightful and can ideate and implement marketing strategy for a brand.
- You are an exceptional project manager and able to coordinate teams to deliver on time.
- You have experience developing and implementing management systems within an organization.
- You have demonstrated you can work in a start-up environment.
- Understanding the constraints to work with small budgets.
- Have an entrepreneurial streak drawing energy from working in a rapid growth stage start-up.
- Able to capture & refine a brand’s essence into product design and can guide product testing.
- You are considered very self-managing & do best in an environment where you are given high-level goals.
- You are confident in your own ability to perform and inspire others to perform.
