Nairobians woke up to flooded roads after rains pounded the city for hours on Thursday night.

Motorists and residents using Jogoo Road were the worst hit, with a section of the road at the Makadara footbridge almost impassable due to stagnant water.

Nairobi has received substantial amount of rain since last week with Sunday and Wednesday experiencing enhanced downpour.

According to the Kenya Meteorological Department, the rains will continue for the rest of the week and subside as December approaches.
