Our client a well-established Telecommunication Company provides connectivity services throughout East Africa. They are currently looking to recruit a Human Resources Business Partner. He/she will be will be responsible for talent acquisition, performance management, talent development and employee engagement. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 7 years’ working in Telecom sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the various units in forecasting and planning workforce requirements and development of talent.
- Design and execute initiatives for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain and organize work.
- Support employee engagement processes through employee forums, effective consultation and involvement to facilitate loyalty and retention.
- Works closely with line management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Partner with line managers to deliver the learning & development agenda to enable employees to acquire requisite skills for performing their duties effectively.
- Manage, resolve and finalize fair & consistent employee discipline and grievances in line with policies and procedures.
- Work closely with other HR team members to develop and Implement best practice HR strategy, policies, initiative and operations.
- Support HR Director in forecasting and planning workforce requirements and development of talent pipeline in line with unit/business strategy.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration and management or Human Resource.
- Must have seven (7) years’ experience in human Resources.
- Must have experience working in Telecom Sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage over three hundred employees.
- Demonstrated competence in a number of human Resource disciplines.
- Extensive knowledge of HR best practices.
- Proven business acumen.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate, highly self – motivated, energetic and enthusiastic team player.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships.
- Results oriented and excellent communicator.
- A member of IHRM will be an added advantage.
