Our client, an upmarket Safari company, is looking for a Lodge Manager for their luxury tented camp in Uganda. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years Managerial experience in a remote high-end Lodge or Tented Camp, be a strong leader and very customer oriented. He/She will be responsible for managing the camps guest experience, front-of-house management, monitoring standards throughout the lodge, reservations, operations, human resources, repairs & maintenance, staff training, profitability and conservation liaison.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day running of the camp and ensure all operational areas are functioning.
- Commercial accountability for Budgeting and Financial Management.
- Stock and Cost Control as well as Systems and Logistics.
- Guest Relations and Reservations overview.
- Basic day to day HR and Staff relation, including training and mentoring.
- Daily Administration, Property and back of house operations.
- Repairs and Maintenance overview.
- Building Management and future upgrades.
- Vehicle, Roads and Ground Maintenance.
- Liaison with Park officials.
- Resolve and handle Guest complaints.
Qualifications:
- Hotel Management degree from a reputable institution.
- Over 5 years of experience in a 5 Star Lodge or Tented camp.
- Very good computer skills – MS Office Suite.
- Excellent Communication and People skills.
- Hands-on and Problem solver.
- Leadership and Management skills.
- Be a good motivator.
