Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru was on Tuesday morning seriously injured in an accident at Makenji, Murang’a county.
He has been rushed to Thika Hospital awaiting transfer.
The governor was travelling to Nairobi for a talk show.
His driver and bodyguard also got injured.
Deputy governor Mutahi Kihiga has confirmed the accident.
