Civil Technician

Our client, the largest Commercial Real Estate Service & Investment Firm are looking to a recruit a Civil Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective, safe, reliable supply of building structure, fabric maintenance, water filtration and plumbing services. In addition to this, they would be required to apply best practice through equipment inspection, planned prevention maintenance, work permit management and repairs. He/she MUST have a degree in Civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems and other plumbing materials.
• Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, steam and air.
• Assemble fitting and valves for installation.
• Modifies length of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing materials as needed.
• Running of the R/O, waste water and portable water systems.
• Perform inspection of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts.
• Relieve Boiler Technicians.
• Inspect building and other structure to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.
• Supervise minor carpentry, lock repairs, painting and masonry and handyman duties.

Qualification:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Candidates who have specialized in Civil Engineering would have an added advantage.
• Must have excellent experience working in the manufacturing sectors.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years in management or plumbing, sanitary and maintenance systems.
• Excellent training and implementation of HSE standards.
• Excellent technical background.
• Must be mature and articulate.
• Must be a natural leader.
