Technical Sales Executive – Mombasa

Our client, a leading mining and manufacturing company with operations in East and Southern Africa regions is seeking to recruit a Technical Sales Executive to be based in Mombasa. The preferred candidate MUST have a civil engineering background working in the construction industry with technical sales of building materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs.
• Calculate client quotations and administer client accounts.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
• Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required.
• Arrange and carry out product training.
• Analyze costs and sales.
• Prepare reports for head office and keep customer records.
• Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
• Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs.
• Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
• Help in the design of custom-made products.
• Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Must have above 5 years’ experience in the construction industry selling building materials.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and results oriented.
• Must be a strong team player.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Must be willing to work in Mombasa.
