Babu Owino posted photos of himself crossing sewer bridge and Kenyans are unforgiving

Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino, has been bashed by Kenyans online after sharing pictures of himself crossing a makeshift bridge over an open sewer during a visit in his constituency.

In a post that was accompanied by several photos, the first time MP thanked the people of Soweto and Tassia for giving him a warm reception during his visit on Saturday.

In the photos, the MP is clad in a black suit and pink shirt.

“I don’t stop when I’m tired. I stop when I’m done. Thank you for the warm reception Soweto and Tassia,” said Babu.

Netizens however lashed out at the MP for sharing such embarrassing pictures of his constituency.

“We need a way of making our leaders live and stay in the areas they represent, that way they will feel our daily challenges first hand,” said Conrad Khei.

“Doesn’t look good at all, if you’re the representative of this area and it’s people I don’t think you need salutations just yet,” commented Shaffique Fazaldin.

“Babu hiyo Mtaa inahitaji kung’arishwa, unaona venye uchafu imejaa na wewe ni PR tu,” said Daniel Chege.

“Do something about drainage and water sufficient supply, don’t be a PR leader,” commented Bikz Raph.

“Ngarisha hiyo mtaa, usipite tu,” wrote Wesley Rono.

“Hehe is that what you’ve achieved within the first 90days?” asked Elizabeth Mbui.

“What had you gone there for?” asked Egroeg Gatitu Njenga.

“Can u be sincere, its shame to post ati unatembea na hakuna kazi unafanya, fanya kazi tuone,” commented Maryann Edward Shikoo.
