State House Director of Digital Communications Dennis Itumbi has briefly managed to steal the show away from the Nasa swearing in ceremony, after a court ruled in his favor awarding him Sh5million for being detained illegally by police.
Mr Itumbi had sued the government after he was arrested and detained in 2012 in connection with the ICC email hacking probe when President Uhuru Kenyatta was facing charges of crime against humanity.
The ruling given by the High Court on Tuesday awarded Mr Itumbi a whooping Shillings 5 million that has elicited varied reactions from Kenyans on Twitter.
I hereby demand for 1.5 Million compensation for being illegally detained at Karen, Langata on grounds of ‘roaming with evil intentions’ on 10/11/2017. #ItumbiSh5m#NASAOathDay#NASASwearingIn
