Our client, a 4-star Hotel in South Sudan, is looking for a motivated and self-driven F&B Supervisor for its hotel in Juba. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for the daily operations of the F&B department at the Hotel. He/She will manage a team of local and expat chefs and waiters, and will report directly to the General Manager. He/She will also be expected to be an efficient, energetic and effective business and people manager with an eye for detail. Willing to take an active and vigorous management approach. Flexibility, loyalty and hard work will be essential and will be rewarded accordingly. The role provides a significant opportunity to gain operational and business management experience in a fascinating and challenging part of Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management of the restaurant and bar.
- Host clients and building relationships with current and potential residents.
- Recruitment and development of strong kitchen, bar and restaurant teams.
- Training of staff to ensure consistently high service levels.
- Management of all kitchen, bar, restaurant stock via the POS system.
- Management of procurement and supplies.
- Building relationships with competitive suppliers.
- Ensuring stringent controls to avoid theft.
- Thorough data entry and oversight of all inventory and stock through the POS system.
- Management of departmental budgeting and cash flows.
- Drive F&B events in order to raise overall business profile.
- Menu development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.
- Strong organizational ability and time management skills to operate and problem-‐ solve in challenging remote environments.
- To lead and communicate effectively with both skilled and unskilled labor.
- The ability to understand basic aspects of business, accounting and finance.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Competent skills with Microsoft Excel for all administration and data entry.
