Governor forced to cancel tender for fuel guzzlers following public outcry

Isiolo County Government has been forced to cancel a tender they had advertised for the supply of two high end vehicles.

The Governor Mohammed Kuti had placed the tender for Lexus lx 570 2017 model whose purchasing price is currently in excess of Sh20 million.

The tender also included a Toyota Land cruiser Prado 2018 model which currently goes for Sh10 million to be used as a chase car for the governor.

Majority of Kenyans on social media wondered why the governor was yet to deliver anything tangible since he took office but was quick to spend money on cars.

On Wednesday, the county placed another advertisement in a local daily canceling the tender for the two motor vehicles.

Interesting…..is the advert corect? Where did the previous govonors cars go or why r the others being bought? Is this the bst way to spend county money??

It’s ploy. Governor pretend to hire from someone but in real sense the vehicles belongs to him. He will awards himself millions from public cofers.
